OH BOY, something else to check our but I too don't want another machine. Haven't even learned how to use everything on my BabyLock Elegante. OH well, guess I'll have to go to the store and ask questions again.
My other machine is a nice little Kenmore Machine that does a lot of little extra's. Who knows what it will do that I don't know about. Maybe reading my books that come with the machine would help. LOL

Now that does sound interesting. Worth a try anyway. Thanks for the tip.

I saw this machine demonstrated about a month ago. It looks like a short running stitch. IMHO though, it looks too "fake" or too "perfect" to be a real hand quilted stitch. BUT, saying that, note that I like the imperfection of hand quilting even though I try to make mine LOOK perfect. Does that make sense??

I have seen this machine at a quilt shop and the results are very nice, but it did do only a straight stitch. And it was very spendy, that being said I am going back to a couple of posts on this subject which involved "faking it", one said you put clear thread in the bobbin and the other said you put it on top. Which one is it, or does it vary from machine to machine. TIA for you answers.

I agree with that. Now I will say I DO have 4 Viking machines that sew and embroider, a long arm, 2 sergers, several old sewing machines, a blind hemmer and a knitting machine in a closet. But I do use my machines for different purposes. To me THAT machine is for something that most people would not use very often. How often do any of us do Sashiko? Me, never.
