Select "Fun Stuff" option from the top bar, then Lessons. I picked "Skylights". It was eleven lessons, each a different block.
I'm thinking about making the quilt. I normally don't care for contemporary style but something about this wallhanging that I find very appealing. And after doing all the work, I should do something with the blocks! Chris

Thanks I will look at Skylights and see if I can follow the directions> I looked at one of the lessons and it seems that they assume things. Like I think you need to put the
blocks in the sketchbook otherwise you can't find the set tool.

Most of the lessons take you through a process of learning how to draw a block in Easy Draw, then the block is saved in sketchbook to be later used in putting the blocks together in a quilt layout.
Lesson 3 is a fairly easy lesson because it uses log-cabin block from the library and just changes the colors used in the block. And Lesson 5 shows how to modify a block from the library.
If you gone through the Getting Started manual, you will be using the same commands. Some lessons were fairly easy and I could do two of them in a evening but some I only did one. It took maybe two weeks to get through it because I didn't put any pressure on myself to get it finished but at the same time I didn't want to be forever finishing because I might be a unclear on how it was all done.
I went to a quilt show this weekend. One thing I noticed when I looked at some of the quilts, I noticed more how the blocks were put together; not just looking at the overall quilt but each individual block. Understanding more about drawing blocks has given me a new insight in quilt making.

Well, I started a new EQ thread and whatever reason didn't show up here. Noticed there was another thread on EQ7,it has several pages and still hasn't been here with the rest of the EQ posts. Really frustrating! Chris

Hi! Diana, Please check out my blog for photos of my first project. http://seweasy4me-chris.blogspot.com. I'm going to try to get some fabrics soon to make this quilt. I make items for the three preemie ICU's we have here. I'm sort of the designated quilter of the group, others are working on burp pads, flannel blankets and other things.
