He is my enabler and always makes me spend too much---so--- I love to take him w/me

Whatever your issues are, I pray that you will get them resolved and be a happier person for it. Have a nice weekend, sounds like you have got a handle on things.:)

I take DH if he wants to go along. He is objective and sometimes sees things I miss when pairing color and patterns. I do not use my fabric purhcases as retail therapy so there are no pocketbook issues. I know what I need and plan accordingly. Keeps my Visa out of trouble lol!

My DH has a really good eye for color and design so if I need to purchase something special to match, then yes, I will take him and he does like doing this with me. But if I am out just browsing around, then I like the freedom of going by myself. I think it's important to do things by myself.

My dh does not shop with me but he does take me to the store. When we mow his sister's lawn we have to pass the quilt shop. He will sit in his truck and wait for me. He always tells me to take my time. He has never complained about stopping. Maybe because I have been helping him mow his sister's lawn since our younger son, who used to help him, went to college and hasn't come home in the last two summers.

I don't have a DH, but often go browsing with my friend and her DH until he tells us he is fed-up with being dragged about and then we go and do what he wants to do for the rest of the day...it is fair and fun for all of us.

I bring mine with because he encourages me to buy stuff. I might worry about the cost, or whatever, but he finds a way to justify it.

Unfortunately we are quick to jump to conclusion when we see a picture such as yours. We make judgements without knowing all the facts.

Congratulations on getting though those 16 boxes today. I am sure that God will assist you, when the time comes, to clean up the rest of it.

It is hard when we change our lives habits to find a new balance. Hopefully the next pictures you post will be of the beautiful quilts you have completed in your organized sewing room
.
Take care!

Reminds me of the worse thing for DH, clothes shopping! There is a reason why there are chairs outside the fitting room!

I love you!! You've just made my sewing room look like a haven of peace. I've been agonizing for the past few days about a big clean out, and now, I think I'll just take the rest of the day off.
