What do you think about sewing 9 10" blocks together do a D9P and stick that pattern in the middle of the back of the quilt. (Kinda like having 2 quilts in one)

Here's a pic. of the top.
I love a decorative back that makes it two quilts. The only problem is sometimes trying to decide which side is the favorite.

Love your quilt, gorgeous! Being new I have 2 questions: What is that pattern and also, when choosing a pieced back how do you determine the actual quilting pattern? Does one disregard the backing and quilt according to the quilt front pattern only? OR do you try to take both patterns into considerstion? In essence, trying to match the quilting design to both front and back layers? Oh, I hope what Im asking makes sense.

The back of my next quilt will also have some of the pieces in it from the front. Haven't done one yet and the more I see the more I like it.
