Here is one of my last ones. Words were embroidered after top was pieced. Squares were quilted with three different symbols special to the recipient. Border was meandering
Back is a microplush in dark brown, it was a throw at bed bath and beyond for 13.99.

I made quite a few that I just did a wavy diagonal stitch going both directions. Now that I am a little better at FMQ, I like to do an all over stitch. Maybe a rose meander, or large stipple, or something like that. Depending on the fabrics. I even did a quilt, not a YBR, but similar with a watery type stitch, it fit the fabrics.
I have a queen size flannel YBR I put together probably ten years ago that still needs borders and quilting. I will probably quilt with an all over rose meander, cause it would look good with the floral fabrics in it. I really love to use variegated thread too.

Thanks for the link, it looks good, I would like to try it.
I am thinking that might be a good design to try the puzzle piece quilting featured on this weeks Tuesday Tutorial from http://www.theinboxjaunt.com/ she draws a square grid to follow but you could use most of the seam lines instead?

The YBR quilt I made was for my nephew for graduation. He loves fishing, so I used outdoorsy and fishing fabric (can't remember what line.) For the quilitng, I was going for water look quilting, but it turned out looking like a spool of fishing line spilled open and loops were all over the quilt. It turned out OK, just not how I imagined. Good luck with your YBR.
