    I love to see pictures of others projects in all of the different stages. It is better than browsing through a quilters magazine.

Yes, I post pictures. I used to only in my PDA but I have made so many new friends by posting on the picture site and others who like the quilts pm each other and get the patterns. Another reason we SHARE, is because there may be a pattern out there we knew nothing about and would like to try. I respect the ones who only keep their pictures in journals and such, I do too. What nice Memories of our quilts. Showing off...I don't think of it like that. I have put some that are a little wonky but that's all part of the fun. I hope this thread won't keep others from posting pictures because they think it is showing off. Not on this board. We love it. JMHO. :)
    I personally find all the pics shared here a learning tool for my brain injuries.
    I don't think I would have started quilting if hadn't seen all different things.
    I am very glad to those who share their work :)
    OOPS~~~
    I have to be honest and admit that
    I WAS SHOWING OFF !!
    I have every right to...
    Have you any idea what I have accomplished thru 2 brain injuries.
    I realized... and I am sooooo Proud of me ... I needed to show off;
    so please forgive me if I went overboard...

    Oh featherweight, I was not responding to your post in particular, just the words "Showing off". So sorry if it came across this way. It was meant to be an excited, not showing off, but sharing thing. There are some who won't post because they think this way and I wanted to make sure more would post or continue to. HUGS
    :oops: I used to only post in my PDA and now, since we are encourage to post in PIctures, I started doing so.

    I like looking at others work, but never take pictures of my own to show off, don't even take them to our Show and Share at our Guild. And I do make very nice quilts, but it is just me.

    Please take your projects to guild. It's part of who you are. Yes it's showing off a little but it's soooo muuuch fuuuun! Every project can be an inspiration to others.

    Same for me - though I do put some of them on my facebook page to share with friends far away.

    I always loved show & tell when I was a kid. I show here and on my blog, occasionally a special quilt on facebook. Sometimes the urge to show is the only reason I finish a dreaded project. I'm not a member of any local groups but once in a while I take some finished quilts to the firehouse to show my friends, lol :D

    I display my quilts on my Etsy site, Flickr and blog. I also share them on facebook. I love feedback to see what other peoples' taste are for colors and designs. I love looking at everyones' quilts!
