I would buy it if only I had the money to get it with...lol! I have been blessed this past Christmas with a new printer, mp3 player and stereo system not to mention the new camera I got last year, so I don't dare ask, but I would love to have that machine and everything they are selling with it in a heartbeat. Yes, I have my Mom's Singer 206 and I have my Singer Fashionmate 1030 not to mention my Aunt's vintage Singer Touch and Sew and my 1918 Singer Redeye Treadle, but this one would be the icing on the cake. At least it is not all plastic. It does tout a sturdy metal frame and it appears to have a nice size throat. Ok I'll stop torturing myself now, not to mention the drool that is about to hit my keyboard! I should never have turned on HSN this morning....LOL! Big Sigh!!!!!

I'm looking forward to the reviews from those who buy it. The look is sort of growing on me, but I love the old metal ones with some history. I'm sure a lot of folks will buy it just as a "collectible investment" or eye candy. I read somewhere the list price is about $500, without some of the goodies bundled in the HSN package. So it seems like a good price over 5 payments with a 30 day return option on HSN.com. They are selling other Singers also. I'm saving my pennies for a quilter's stash garage sale this weekend. Enjoy your new machines, and let us know how you like them after putting them through their paces.

I have ordered a Singer Quantum machine from HSN before and it sews great, I have never had a problem. I ordered it for the decorative stitches before I started quilting. I don't baby it either. I pull denim through it when it's too heavy to feed. I had a problem with the foot pedal (tiny hole in the air line) and the repairman said it was certainly a better made Singer, I must have bought it from a dealer. The stitches are as good quality as my Brother 1500 and my Janome. I don't know about the other machines sold there but my Singer Quantum was a great buy.

I watched it this morning, too...I was just scanning the channels and stopped for a peek.
It looks pretty nice...unfortunately, my checking account is screaming at me....NO. I would be tempted to check it out when it comes to a local dealer, but not from TV.
Did you see the embroidery/sewing machine demo before this one? That one looks pretty cool...but, still don't need it.

I love my Singers! Never had a problem(knock on wood). I also have a Brother and a workhorse retro Kenmore. Singer has always been good enough for me and very good performance. Congrats to all that got that beautiful machine! Looks loke a beauty!

I caved. Guess I'll be one of those folks posting a review in a couple of weeks.

Edited to Add: Ooopsie....didn't notice that they are already on extended orders, so I won't actually receive it until mid-February. No problem - birthday present to ME from ME!

I think they just sold out! not in the market for a new machine myself but this looked like it had some nice features. I hope to hear how you all like it once it gets home and you can play.

Well, I succumbed, too, before lunch and ordered one. I didn't have to spend as much on Christmas gifts this year so I got it for MY Christmas! LOL I will sew""like the wind** for the next 30 days (from when I get it) to give it a good test. I have doll clothes to make and flannel blankets to hemstitch so that should be an indicator of how well it sews. I also want to try that Circle Sewing Attachment and the Sew & Cutter Attachment (since I don't have a serger). I just saw that it has sold out. I think they must have gotten about 6000 in to sell.

Since this debuted in Australia, do we have any board members from there who may already have gotten it? If so, please post your comments!
