Up here in Indiana, to date we have had 45 inches so far. More to come. Yesterday felt like springtime because the sun was out and the temp was 27. This weekend in the 50's. Then more snow. Springtime is getting closer everyday. I would love it if we could send this snow to Calif.

It's been a snowy winter for the East Coast, no doubt about it. I really feel bad for those Southern states, like Georgia, that are getting snow, some for the first time. I grew up in SD, spent 5 years in NE, then moved to New England, so I've never had winters without snow, but I do feel bad for those in the South who are dealing with it for the first time, it's not fun. Hope the snow isn't deep and that the electricity and heat stay on so you can quilt.

Snow, sleet, Andy more snow here in ,Georgia for the second day in a row and expected to snow until Thursday PM, possible 6 - 12 inches. Even though I don't work outside the home I'm sewing as fast as I can due to the risk of power outage. Hope all my Georgia neighbors and quilting buddies are safe and sound!
All my best goes to everyone out there including my four children who are getting it too at their respective homes.

You sound like one of us upper mid-westerners. As soon as we hear snow storm, we get the car in the garage, shovel by the back door and settle in next to our machine and "enjoy" the weather from indoors. I made three quilt tops this January because of stormy weather in Michigan. Let it snow so I can sew! be safe, be warm and keep that hand stitching piece handy next to the supply of candles and firewood.

Hope all of you in the path of this storm stay safe and warm and keep your power. I know Reliant Energy here in Houston has already sent repairs trucks and teams before the storm so they will be there to start repairs as soon as the storm lets up. We were so thankful when other cities sent people here after our last hurricane.
