? tear away stabilizer
I'm taking a class in another state in two weeks and the instructor's supply list said to bring your favorite tear away stabilizer. I have never use tear away and would appreciate any feedback on the subject because I don't know one from another. Thanks

It would be better for the teacher to have given an example of a tear-away, rather than assume that everyone has a favorite. Since she didn't say, it would probably be okay to take any brand with you.

Since she did state a preferance, I would get a medium weight tear away, one thing roll it up try not to fold as the crease from folding could be hard to get out. Many of your LQS and Joann's, Hancocks carry this type of stabelizer. Good luck and have fun!

a lot depends on your project do you want an iron on? it really depends on what you are making if say it is going to be in a hoop i buy the regular it does not need to be ironed on the hoop will hold it if not i say get the medium weight iron on it will be easier to work with.

Go to emblibrary.com and they have a section that explains about the different stablizers and Viking also has it. There is different ones like for med or heavy duty of it all including water soluable. I hate when they assume you have a favorite. FYI. My granddaughter and great granddaughter live in Fairmont
