I think your wife will love her new machine. My 6600 was a retirement present from my husband. I've had it for three years with no problems and I still love it. Your wife is a lucky lady.

The Janome 6600P is a great machine. The stitch is perfect and the Accu-feed feature is wonderful. I have owned one for about 2 years and I love it. I'm sure your wife will love it.

My favorite machine. After she gets it, have her join the yahoo group for 6500/6600 owners. Tons of info there, especially in the files section. The people in this group know way more than any dealer!

Is your wife on this board? I apologize if this was asked and answered.

If you're in Michigan, I want to give you my hubby's phone # (LOL)

I don't have that machine but I think you did a very good job from the things I have heard it is a very good machine and to have a dealer close with classes is very important what a wonderful Christmas present

I moved up from a Babylock decorator to a Janome 6600 and KNEW I'd gone to heaven! It is a real work horse. Now all you have to do is go with her the first time she gets it cleaned/adjusted/whatever and have the repairman walk you through all the cleaning/oiling/whatever (maybe buy that little kit of tiny cleaners that fit onto the end of a of a vaccumn cleaner) and you'll save big money on the regular cleaning/adjusting. We did that and it saves lots. I have arthritis and I swear he loves to undo screws and clean and oil the front and the bottom. Just like you, he's an enabler. Sorry, didn't mean to tell you that you have competition. Men like you and mine are true treasures!!! By the way, the repairman who has helped me a lot was the one who told me the Janome 6600 was thriling quilters and not coming in for repairs; that's why I bought it.
