Oh, she is gonna love it! If she screams about the price, simply tell her that she is worth every penny. she can't argue with that. You did good!

Not only do I have a 6600 at my home, I bought a second for the cabin. I love this machine. It is great for quilting and any other sewing. You dida a great job in choosing this machine. BTW she can purchase the accessories (feet etc) at a 15% discount from Brubbakerssewing.com. Congratulations on your choice.

You made a great choice. After trying the Viking 875 and the Janome 7700, Janome was the clear choice. I had tried a 6600 and it had the same substantial feel as the 7700 - something which the Viking did not have. Plus the 6600 has Accufeed - a super feature for a quilter.
