I really read up on the comparisons of irons, and decided that the Black and Decker was what I wanted, I love it, it stays hot enough to do the job. My only gripe is that the auto shut off is too quick to suit me and I am always waiting for it to heat up again. Guess we are never perfectly happy with what we have

I purchased a Tfal about 2 years ago. It is 1700 watts and gets very hot. I don't think this iron is mentioned much, but has been great. It has an auto shut off after 8 minutes but heats up in seconds.

I bought it because it was red!

I've been happy with my inexpensive 1200w Sunbeam.

Just received a small Black & Decker travel one. Haven't tried it out yet.
