I also use the D9P. There's always variety in the squares, so it's not boring. Sometimes sashing between the blocks, sometimes not.

Check out Missouri Star Quilt Company for tutorials that use charm packs.

Check out this video for making pinwheels. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekYpJzHoW6E. I've made several of them and they are so easy and can be trimmed so they are always the same size.

I am a scrap quilter, and make my own charm packs then make hundreds of half square triangles and then sew away. There are soooo many combinations you can arrange them into. Also Moda Bake Shop is a good place to look for free patterns.Good Luck with your search.

Love the Moda pattern.
I also love charms and have alot of them.
Keep in mind the amount of waste in a pattern that uses charms. Sometimes it is better to use yardage.
I am working on a kids quilt right now using 4 patches made from charms. Using Billie Lauders method. You sew seams down both sides of 2 charms right sides togather.
Cut in half and stack again and sew both sides and cut in half. You have 2, 4 in sq. after squaring up.
I have also made a D9P from them, and have used them whole with sashing. They are fun to use.
I have both of the Nickle Quilts books but have only used it for borders so far. Most of the patterns are better with yardage.

I have been doing the same thing as I love the coordinated prints and colors. I just pre-ordered a book from Amazon.com (they have everything!) called "Little Bits Quilting Bee: 20 patterns for charm packs, jelly rolls," etc. The book is still in writing and comes out early September. I hope it will be helpful.
