I like Hancocks of Paducah. Order on-line from them all the time.

Thousands of bolts , in my opinion, has the best selection and price. I have never been disappointed in the quality. Fabric.com has a good selection, but a few times the quality was less than good.

I just ordered Quilt backing for 2 quilts ( 6 Yds.) from Crafttown Fabrics. It was 108 wide. They have a great selection and good prices, the shipping was a good price also.

I like the choices at Backside Fabrics, have ordered from them, and will happily do so again. They even send free sample swatches.http://www.backsidefabrics.com/

Marshall Dry Goods has some nice backing fabrics that are very reasonably priced. I just made a purchase and am very pleased with the fabrics!

I also purchase flannel sheets at Sears, Penney's, etc, when the end of winter sales are going on. You can get great deals if you like flannel for backing.

Connecting threads has 104" backing on sale. I checked on line and majority is 108". I was confused. Should I be buying the 104"?

Finding wide quilt backing has never been a problem. Prepar it for the LA quilter is! How do you all manage/handle these Hugh pieces of fabric? I mean straightening the ends, ironing it after the pre-wash, etc. I have 4 yards of 120" wide fabric waiting in my sewing room right now to be ironed. Advice?
