Very neat idea! I keep my Iron upstairs in my room, away from my sewing area... that way I have to get off my duff and run upstairs to do the pressing of seams. Makes me feel a little bit better for using my spare time for sewing instead of excersising.

If only sewing/quilting burned calories, I would be skinny!! :)

Does anybody remember the advice about using aluminum foil instead of the insulbright? I can't remember if it was a good idea or if it caused the table under it to have moisture?

Carol all I used was 2 layers of warm&natural batting under the fabric. I am not worried about the table. If the table will last me a few years I will be happy.

Yippee...I found 2 wooden tables like this today at our thrift store. I splurged and plunked down a whole $5.00 for both...now to make the table! This will let me put the ironing board back in the laundry room and gain a tiny bit of room in the sewing room. Thanks for the great idea and thanks crafty for the link!
