Default Suggest me a pattern.

Going through my scrap collection, I've got a half-yard of this, a half-yard of that and some batik scraps of the other in a tropical theme. Most are fairly large prints/designs. What pattern/block would you suggest for turning large prints like these into a quilt?

No idea it is exactly the problem I have so I pick a pattern and buy new every time it happens. I'm very interested in seeing what others come up with. I always think the answer is nothing.

If you wanted to use these up quickly and still see the pattern, look for a pattern with large blocks. I'm partial to the shadow quilt...and you could use all of these with that.

Agreed, you need a pattern with larger blocks. I like the Yellow Brick Road or Brick Road pattern. It's the one with three alternating blocks: one with 3 pieces, one with 4 pieces, and one with 5 pieces. When I make it I change it by adding one other piece to each block: a narrow strip in a dark accent color which divides the two halves of the block. So my blocks have 4, 5, and 6 pieces. Fast, easy, and beautiful because you let the beautiful fabrics do the work.

Maybe something like the SeaBreeze pattern from Hoffman. It looks like just squares and rectangles sashed. You could easily make it a scrappy version.

I'd sketch out what size pieces you have and see what you can combine easily.

This one is the illusion block. It's from Missouri Star Quilt Company.
Another suggestion would be attic windows.

Just have fun with your fabric and see what happens!

Take a look at MSQC Falling Charms pattern and video. You can use all different squares with one background colour to pull it all together.

I used up some leftovers to make a Disappearing Nine Patch quilt to cover the front of my fireplace.

Or Warm Wishes pattern? I think those blocks would look great!

I've always really liked the Big Block Quilt Pattern.
Here's one that someone on the board made.
