Suggestions Needed

I like the idea of having her draw what she wants for you. It may or may not be doable. If not, you could work with her to get her idea into something that works. That yellow and pink flower needs some "fleshing out" to figure out what she's envisioning. If you just say, "I can do that", without really knowing what she expects could result in disappointment.
All that said, MSQC has a charm pack on special today that has all of your colors. That's where I would go to get the color combo that she wants. By that I mean, find a pre-made selection of fabrics that include your granddaughter's preferred colors. It will give you a starting point for the rest of the fabric. Depending on the pattern you choose, you can get a charm pack, a layer cake or a fat quarter bundle.
Another thought is to find a panel she likes for the center flower. Fabric.com has a lot of panels. Sometimes Marshall Dry Goods has a good selection of panels. Many panels have free patterns available from the manufacturers. Timeless Treasures has some really nice panels. They have a designer who does lots of very bright floral designs, some of which have panels. Her name is Chong-a Hwang. Here's a link to her fabrics. Of course, there are lots of designers for all the fabric lines. I am familiar with her florals, so suggest what I am familiar with.
If you applique, the center flower may be doable that way. If you take her drawing and blow it up, the pieces might be large enough to make the center doable that way. (I'm having trouble thinking of a way to do the center flower other than applique or a panel.)
This sounds like a rewarding project. Involving her in the planning process will give you an opportunity to get to know her even better than you do now. It can also be a teaching opportunity where you show her how to plan a project.
Good luck.
