I don't think the fabrics are as ugly as you think. However, if they don't motivate or inspire you, I get it. You could always make doll quilts or larger one(s) to donate. If you just can't bring yourself to sew them, then pass them on.

i like them. Some I would put in my Splendid Sampler 2 & some I'd give to a friend who is really into tiny flowers. Have a good day.

I love these blocks but I agree with others that you should give them away. The hardest quilt I ever made was a quilt that I made for someone else and they chose the colors. I hated that quilt and I was so happy when it was finally finished. That is the last time I let someone else choose the colors. I only make what I love.

that looks like some fabric I ended up with that I got from my Mom's stuff so it was over 30 years old. She had it cut into 2.5" squares but never sewed it together.

While it looked nice, it was really horrid fabric, thin yet stiff even after washing, and I made the decision I would not use it. I think it would work good for gluing on to another surface but that is about it.

I have a feeling that is why my Mom never sewed up the quilt even though she had all the squares cut out - though I expect it was real easy to cut, and she would have done it all with scissors back then.

I have a collection of nice fabric that I consider too thin for what I do with making quilts - a lot is more suitable for lightweight infant clothing - this stuff is not at all like that.

Those are very pretty! I love floral prints, period. Like they say, eyes of the beholder. Now if you would show me an assortment of marbled fabrics, I would call those ugly.

Me too! They are just the type of fabric I love! Having 3 granddaughters helps I think.

How about a scrappy Irish chain or double Irish chain with off white for the other squares. I think it would be stunning and a fast sew.

I recognize those cuties. I bought a set like that on line (cant remember the circumstance) but I could not return them (part of an order of other things from china??) Anyway, it was not that they were that ugly but the quality of the fabric was too poor to use or swap or give away or ever waste labor on. I, too, threw them out. And I am a real fabric hoarder.
