It opened up the world of free motion for me, will forever be glad I bought it. I had tried for many years to FM but just couldn't get the hang of it. About 15 yrs ago I bought the Supreme slider at a quilt show (also another system much more expensive at another booth that was a disaster) taped it to my machine & took off, somehow it helped me make the connection between my brain & my hands, I think because it was so slippery. I used it happily for months, finally wore it out by sewing into it (the original sticking system was not as good as the current system from what I've been told). I was going to buy another one then realized I no longer needed it, my hands & brain worked together without it. Since that time I have free motioned dozens of quilts & love doing it. I put on an audio book & take off to my happy place.

I have one an barely used it so can't comment on how well it works, but I have an older SInger 15-91 and when I took the slider off my machine it took some of the decals w/it...so I won't be using it again, at least not w/that machine.

So glad I read this today although I'm sorry to hear of the damage to your machine. I have a Supreme Slider coming in the mail next week and I was going to use it on my Singer 15s and 201s. No way now will I risk the decals on those beautiful old machines.

The new thing I have discovered through one of my Facebook forums is the flying carpet sled which is a very large piece of plastic. I made a hole for the needle and it is wonderful. Doesn't move, doesn't get caught up in the quilt, very slippery. there are some discussions under Links and Resources but thought I would put a link here toohttps://www.amazon.com/Flying-Carpet-Sled-BLUE/dp/B001Q8SLE2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1510166843&sr=8-1&keywords=flying+carpet+sled+blue
I tried a big piece of vinyl, a supreme slider, and nothing. I really do think this sled thing is the best for me and my machine.
