How hard is it to use? Our lqs went out of business and I picked up a package for real cheap but have not opened it.

I've used it quite a few times. I used it a couple of time to make an overlapping flap on a purse. It really adds a little interest to a funcional part of the purse. It would be awfully cute to "smock" the top of a little girls dress. I really like the product, even if it's very expensive.

It does not come undone after washing because you sew it to your fabric.I used 1/4 inch then crossed it the other way.
you can do stippling or anything you want.
If you do a search under texture magic you can see my frogs belly better than in the picture I posted.
Get that out of package and have fun!

Great idea! When Grma33 wrote about changing her avatar to snowmen it made me think-snowmen-TM would be great on them, too!

This is a good product, in my opinion. There are a few tutorials that you can watch regarding the product:

There are many more, but these will start you off. Enjoy

I've seen purses and I've seen appliqued blocks put onto quilts done with it. Jennie Rayment does a block where you baste the block and pull the threads to make them all look like smocking but this stuff is better and quicker. You can also smock clothing.

I recently took a class where we embroidered flowers on the embroidery machine and used a layer of the texture magic and after the embroidery was finished, we steamed the flowers and they turned out looking just like flowers. Wish I knew how to attach a picture to show how cute they are.

I have used this product a couple of times. I saw a demo on it and they made the top of a cupcake out of it. The cupcake was a pin cushion. Very cute. I make a baby quilt for my first great grandson using a 9 patch and a plain white block. On the plain block I appliqued different boy items such as airplane, fire engine, dinasour, lizard. I made the dinasour out of a dark green and used texture magic on the body of it. It really added interest to the quilt and made the dino pop. Sorry I don't have pictures. I don't think it is made out of plastic it feels like a nylon product. I have seen it used on the flap of a purse. I think it is a neat way to add interest where it is used without a ton of extra work.
