Default Table Runner Batting

Which batting should I use to avoid buckling and rumpling later when I wash the runner? If I prewash Warm and Natural batting, will it lay flat when I wash the runner later?

More dense quilting will have a bigger impact than choice of batting. You should still try to use a low loft batting (like W&N, quilters dream cotton, etc). Quilt densely and when washed don't dry, let it dry flat, blocking if necessary.

I like to use Thermolam in my runners.

Your table runner is beyond beautiful! The time and patience to do this piece of art is evident in the finished product. I would have a hard time putting on a table. It would find a wall somewhere even if some other quilt had to come down. Great work.
