I haven't. Made one, but if you really want one, my suggestion is to just do it! If you don't want to do one, don't. But if you want one, but don't want to make one, have one commissioned. That'll solve the problem!! LOL,......... Let us know what you decide & good luck.

A friend has done an amazing Storm at Sea of Van Gogh's Starry Night. It is phenomenal. And way above my skill set.

Cheers, K

I took a class in 1995 so this was a UFO stored in a box. Just a few months ago, ALL of the blocks were FINALLY sewn together and I HOPE to get the borders attached during 2012. I don't have an updated picture since it still needs a good final pressing. It wasn't an easy quilt to do but I am happy with the results. I HOPE I can find the instructions so I can start attaching the borders !!! Then, another UFO can be crossed off my list !!

Oh I think we should challenge each other. Let's both get one completed in 2012.

I made one many years ago using the book Quilting Up a Storm by Lydia Quigley...I enjoyed making it and still want to do another one someday.

I have an unfinished quilt project with all eleven blocks completed, except for Storm at Sea. I did not find the block difficult to complete, in fact found it very easy. The problem was when completed, the block did not measure up with the other eleven. I took it apart and attempted to put it together again, but it did not work. I was so disgusted with the whole project, I never finished it. Maybe I will give it another try.

Looking at some of the photos, it occurred to me that you could punch out that quilt very fast using Tri Rec templates, ate least for those diamond shapes. I haven't made this pattern yet, but maybe I'll do it later in 2012. Good idea!
