Backing is a great idea. Also you could cut it into small pieces & put with other fabrics for scrappy quilts...you should definitely make a cat mat/quilt for her/him.

Use it as a "fronting"; use a different maybe solid as a backing, and then quilt around the design in the WONDERFUL rose-colored fabric!
It really reminds me of bark cloth drapes from the '40s-'50s with their fabulous tropical designs. That fabric is very "cher" these days --- check them out on eBay. Reminds me to find a way to use mine that I collected several years ago!!

I think it would make a wonderful backing. If it is a commercial print with repeated motif spacing, I would take the time to match the pattern. You certainly have enough yardage!

If you love it, just quilt it as a wholecloth piece, as Jan suggested. Start by quilting around the leaves, then if you think it needs more you can quilt some "filler" pattern on the pink. With ten yards you probably have enough for a quilt AND some matching curtains... or valances, at least. Great find!
