So glad you fixed it. I had a couple of blocks turned the wrong way in a log cabin quilt and did not discover them until it was quilted. They were not by the edge. I made another quilt just like it, and gave the one with the boo boo to my niece. I don't know if she ever noticed it. I didn't tell her.

I agree with you. But the reason I choose to fix it is because it was going to Quilts of Valor. Their mission statement is
to cover all combat service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. I couldn't know for sure how the person would interpret the mistake and since they are wounded I wanted it to be the best possible for them. If it was for me or my family I would have left it that way. It would have given them something the talk about long after I'm gone.

Ahhhhh, you did it and it's beautiful. I agree with your thinking, too. Sometimes our best is not achieved the first time. Doing our best often means REdoing when it's in our power to do so. You sound really pleased with your fix, as well you should be. A veteran will be proud to own this token of your appreciation.
