Vintage Berninas are in great demand. I owned a model 830 I bought in 1978. I know they sell for around $400 -$500 with attachments, so you got a terrific deal. I am so happy for you.

In talking with my Bernina guy about a vintage 610 I saw and didn't buy, he said they weren't very popular in the US in the 50's and 60's. It was during the early 70's that they became more available and popular here. I still have the lady's #, but it didn't come with any of the attachments and the motor was pretty slow. Probably an easy fix. I ought to call her. It is just the lack of feet. They are pretty pricey.

    AWESOME! It's a great machine!

I had one like that - and I'm still trying to get it back from my daughter!
