I can understand how some people love them, but I agree. Looks like a pile of laundry! I'd think they'd also be awfully thin. But, to each his or her own.

So true! Especially about changes in opinion. That's why it's dangerous to throw away quilting magazines with patterns that don't appeal to you -- at the time, anyway. (I've done it though.) For instance, I'd never been especially fond of applique, but after seeing some like the Erin Russek designs that GVO9 from Argentina just posted, I'm changing my mind. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-146302-1.htm
Especially if they're done on BLACK -- my favorite color.

I have a Dresden Plate that my Aunt's grandmother made. That Aunt was in her 60's when she died almost 50 years ago. It is the major reason I got into quilting! Isn't it wonderful that it is such an unlimited passion with room for so many?

I don't like bargello either. If I had one I know it would make me sick to look at it. And that's why I don't open if I know the pattern is bargello.
