I think I am her with you Billy, I don't use white. I have used a White on white once or twice but never solid white. Actually I am not a fan of solid colors, never use them. I like tone on tones.
Rust is not a favorite color of mine either.

While there are some colors I don't like in isolation, I find I often like them very much in combinations. So olive drab-- ick. But olive drab as a foil to set off some turquoise and sky blues -- really pretty.

My stash is very light on purple. I don't wear it. I am not drawn to it at all, but I will use it on occasion.

So much hatred for all these colours!!!!! AND my beloved purple coming in for a bashing OHHHH I could weep!!

I actually love ALL colours - muddy tones are not much fun -but combined with others OK!

But I do actually find it harder on my eyes to sew black and navy and other very dark colours - but I don't hate them!

I do have colours I choose not to wear. (pale Mauve being one I dislike in MY clothes!!)

I can't say I hate it, but I have trouble working with orange. I do use some in fall theme quilts, but even then it leans more toward yellow or red than true orange.

I also don't particularly care for pastels. I like my colors rich and vibrant.

I don't really not like any colors, but I'm not real fond of browns and tans things in that catagory.

However, I'm doing the farmer's Wife quilt and trying to stay close to the colors in the book. (browns, tans, etc.) and actually their not to bad.

I mostly like colorful and cheery, even pastels.

I'm sure glad we all have such different tastes so we can see all kinds of different color arrangements.

I love all colors. They all look great when they are placed right with other colors. I have seen over & over on this board where someone posts a pic of a quilt & someone replies to it like " I don't care for the color orange (example) but in your quilt I could learn to love it." So it does make a big difference in the pattern & the placement.

I don't like the combination of peach and green. It's just boring! My, but we can get emotional over colors.

I don't like red. Or muddy, dull, drab colors.
Give me Pink! Yep! Purple too! Bright, pure colors=yes! :)
