Default How do you like EQ8?

I see that the Electric Quilt folks are running a sale which includes the EQ8 upgrade (no affil).

I've found my EQ7 valuable, although I haven't made great use of it. When I need it, I need it.

But EQ8? Does it have enough new -- and more importantly -- improved features to make it worthy of an upgrade for a very casual user like me?

I see that the interface has been updated. Is it better now? (sometimes change can be for the better and sometimes for the worse).

Thank you!

Thank you! I had difficulty searching because the string EQ8 was too short for the search engine.

It was worth the upgrade for me, but I use EQ a lot. My favorite enhancement is that you don't use a block's coloring if you modify the blocks.

I am still struggling to learn the EQ7 I've had for years, so I opted not to get the upgrade. I purchased the EQ7 instruction books when they were on sale instead. There are still some EQ7 classes online, but I figured that all of the new classes and support materials (including books) will be for EQ8. If and when I am able to master EQ7 and want more, I will do the upgrade to EQ8. Just don't think that is going to happen for me, as I think EQ7 will do everything I need.

I upgraded and while work and family have reduced my time to explore much, I do find the EQ8 set up much more intuitive and easier to use. The manual makes sense too. I found it worth the expense and this sale through Wed (??) is a great price.
