I tried, really tried, to NOT buy. But when it hit 90% off I succumbed!
The small spools were 18 cents apiece, larger spools 24 cents, and the cones were 49 cents!
I bought some one day, then back the next, and next. Finally I went in and bought the remaining Gutterman thread.

This basket is 16" X 24" and better than half full. I spent $100 total for $1000 worth of thread!
I think you need to SHARE the wealth...

Don't feel bad. Just think of all the money that you saved and now can spend of FABRIC!

Good for you!! I got to do that once when Hancock Fabrics closed in Las Vegas. It's really nice to have good thread at that price. It's been several years and I still have some of that thread. ENJOY!!!

Wow! Great buy!!! About 20 years ago a local fabric store was closing and had a basket of thread, all Gutermann in all sorts of colors for 90% off. I asked her how much for the whole lot and bought it all. Don't remember what I paid, but my husband couldn't understand why I would buy such "ugly" colors. I sew for people and those colors have been a Godsend for me. Funky greens, yellows and oranges have come back. The nice thing about Gutermann is that it is polyester so will not go bad. I have never had a problem with any of it breaking or fading and I still have some of the odder colors left.
