I rarely use my roundabout, and I should be using it! It turns so much nicer than the square green one I used to have.

I just got the Stripology mini, so have not used it yet. Love the original (XL, I think it is now called).

Creative Grids rulers are wonderful, and I like having an assortment of sizes for squares. So much easier for sliver trimming (when used with my Roundabout!).

Ha! My new Bernina Aqua 475 Kaffe edition. Love it! Also loving using the knee lifter for all that chain piecing in Bonnie's mystery quilt.

I didn't buy them but my new favorite tool is block boards. Not sure what they are called to buy, I made three and use them so much I made 5 more so I have some when I travel too.
Sale paint boards from craft store
    left over batting
glue. I added vintage rickrack on the first ones, the second group are plain janes.
I haven't stitched a block wrong since I started using them to lay blocks out Or mixed things up going to the iron.

KalamaQuilts, I love your idea of a block board. I have some canvases already!

just to verify, I used paint boards, not canvases. the boards are thin and flat, (and cheaper) don't take up any room when not in use which is why I used them although I have both. .Lots of people cut foamcore I think so they can pin straight in, but if I need to pin I just stick it in parallel with the board. Nice cardboard is another practically free option with leftover batt bits

One good thing about foam board is I can sew through it and no gluing. But they are easy to bend and break. I like the idea of the wood boards.

Wandering off topic, but I was wondering.
Corey Yoder was recently showing her new wool roll for pressing in her videos. It's the same material as a wool pressing mat only formed into a cylinder. She was loving it for pressing open her seams. Does anyone have one of these?
What do you think of it?

I don't have a wool version, but have used various pressing hams for years and have been very happy with them, especially when working with shaped seams. One of my oldest had been made by my mom for a tailoring class she took in the 60s. It is filled with sawdust and works great.

I have the clapper with wool roll on top. It is 12" long. It is very handy to press open seams and then use the bottom to flatten them.

A bloc/loc ruler. I wondered why I had not bought one before!
