My little wallhanging for DGD is coming along. DH is going to reshape my FMQ presser foot tomorrow... so I will finish it then. Tonight I am setting up my cutting station in the living room so I can cut fabric and spend time with DH... two things I enjoy... well, spending time with DH is the greater joy of the two!

I'm going to be working on finishing SIL quilt on the LA. And then doing some embroidery on some quilt blocks.

While cleaning out my spare closet a week or so ago I came across some rail fence blocks I had made at least 6-7 years ago. They needed to be squared up as my sewing was not so good back then. I started putting the together with sashing (so far have solid black sashing, black with white polka dots, white with black polka dots). I have enough squares to make four baby quilts. Haven't decided on the last sashing color yet. I have two completed except borders and hope to work on the rest this weekend between going to garage sales and maybe the movies.

Busy housecleaning and washing today, but I have to get a couch quilt underway (the type to tuck in so the dogs don't rip the leather kind - nothing very fancy). Plan on ironing the fabric today and making tomorrow...still have DIL's string quilt to quilt.....am a bit too tired to wrestle with that monster.....I love these VQ times....keeps us all motivated.

I didn't even realize this was happening this weekend. But the universe does work in strange ways. The main program we use for accounting at my work crashed today and I was able to finish early with what I could do and came home early, put a table runner on my quilter and got it all finished. I will post pictures tomorrow.

I have guests coming over for supper tomorrow night, so will be spending most of the day cleaning and cooking, but maybe this will inspire me to get down to my quilting room for a few minutes here and there to see what I can get done.

Now Sunday should be a day I can get a lot of sewing done, if I am lucky.

Four of us Wed. quilters are going to a one day quilt retreat. Our teacher designed an easy pattern we can get it done in one day.

Morning, I attend quilting classes on Friday afternoons so made a start on the inner of a sewing pouch which I hope to finish today. Then I plan to quilt a Sudoku style quilt made for my oldest brother from clothing belonging to two siblings who died in the last few years. It is noon here now so I need to get out of my pjs and get started but this board is way too tempting lol.

I will be piecing the tie quilt that was posted here a couple of weeks ago. I have had these ties for years, but never found a pattern I liked until this one. I got the ties all taken apart and several blocks made. really like the look. Hope to get the rest cut and than it will be time to pack for the quilt fest in Pigeon Forge this coming week.
