Finally!!!!...the last applique square is done. The sand and dark blue fabrics at top of picture are going to be the borders on the squares...so have to get those cut and sewn...planning on QAYG so that i can quilt in some of details on each block before sewing together. Feels SO good to have reached this point !

After a very slow start managed to get a fair amount done. Sewing pouch is finished other than a little hand stitching which I am saving for tomorrow when I babysit my 4 month old DGS. Quilt top is about 2/3 rds quilted so may try to get that finished first thing tomorrow morning. It is 11.20pm here now so no more stitching tonight.

Some great work being shown everyone has been so busy. I will post pictures tomorrow also Christmas quilt that I worked on last VQW. See you all tomorrow.

I didn't know about Virtual Quilt Weekend but coincidentally have spent the past few days using up f/q's that I won in a basket of about 300. I gave several to each lady in my small guild and now I suddenly want to make charity quilts using the ones that aren't to my liking. What I've learned, you can put 9 "ugly" (to me) f/q's together and end up with an interesting, even pretty, quilt top. Also today I stopped by Project Linus Make A Blanket Day at the local library and did one tied fleece quilt and marveled at the members and the wonderful pile of blankets of all types they brought in. When I came home I finished "today's" charity quilt. Wish I knew how to post pictures, I love looking at all of yours.

Oh, I wish I could join in. We had our hardwood floors refinished so now it is time to wash walls, paint, decide what is not going back in the rooms, and returning everything else back in. I will be thinking about you gals and guys sewing while I am cleaning up the mess.

I sewed 3 totes for Sadie's Dream for a Cure. I also worked on cleaning up my sewing area.

Repaired a pair of pants for neighbor. Made quilt block for block of the month and will spend the rest of the weekend quilting a challenge quilt block of the month - 9 months but had to make the 10th block to make it fit for a bed runner.

I will be working on my new great great grand baby's quilt. Hope to do it all today. Using Elmers for putting it together and then will do free motion quilting. The top fabric has the design printed on already in each block and the back is the matching fabric. Should go really fast.
