These four blocks with a 2 1/2 inch sashing in between measure 51" square. I'm putting smaller stars in a top and bottom border and adding a border to the side. It's a lap quilt for me.

Here's a picture with the four stars snowballed and put together with sashing. I got a lot done this weekend. What a fun quilt top this is. I love the center medallion.

I made the big star quilt and it is big enough I am using it as my bed cover. I love the colors and it went pretty fast once I had laid the blocks out. I included a picture to give you encouragement.

Thanks so much for joining me this weekend. These weekends help keep me on track I'm trying to decide when to do the next one--weekend of April 11 or May 3. Any suggestions or preferences?

OMG I didn't even know we were having a quilt weekend. I have been quilting on my DGD's quilt and I am really getting places with it! She picked out the fabric for her Chinese Coins and she sewed them together into columns. She then picked out the background fabric but had to leave before she could do some more sewing. It was supposed to be a birthday present for her but her birthday came around too soon for me to get it done. Sooo...it sat around for a month. I felt guilty about it and started working on it last week. Got it all sewn up. Now am hand quilting random hearts all over it and a braid border. Yikes, it is work. Got the radio on an oldie's station and am sewing to the oldies. Hope you are having a good weekend of sewing fun. Will let you know how it went. Almost half way done with the border. Yippee.

That is a big beautiful quilt. I love the fabric combinations in yours. Nice job. Mine won't be that big. I'm building around the four stars I made. Mine will be lap quilt size.
