    And I am not seeing it as muddy. I like it. But that is just me as well. I would play with the layout some more. Try moving them around more.

    Well, I don't know how moving two blocks can change the look, and you did get more light on the project, but it looks to me as though you have just put the darks into too much of a block of dark ... and, you are probably correct, the dark may just be bugging you <g> ... as a dark person, I think it is beautiful ... <wave>

    I guess I don't like that one block that you moved, the one where the yellow really sticks out, don't like that one at all. I do like this layout better but I don't see the muddy! I think it is gorgeous!

    if you have the room I would cut it like this to start and then cut around a 3" strip. ( don't forget to split it in half lengthwise to make it easier to work with. )

    Ok, just to make sure I understand - Split in the middle, the exact middle? Then cut where you have the lines, then cut each of those sections into 3 inch strips?
