Tip toe through the hexagons Cutie style! Cutting
#21
So I looked for something easy to line the ruler up with, I want to make it easy to find, and so here is where I start, I want to see what it looks like as I have to do it a few more times, you can cut the little piece off if you would like, I just left mine on

so then I move the ruler along and match it to what I saw in the start, if you cut that little piece off you can move it and match it where you cut to make sure that you are in the same place, but if you pick an obvious spot to line you your fabric it is easier, some prints are easier as well.

so if I was doing a wall hanging, I may want to cut my fabric like this, not all of the repeats are straight across, some are staggered, still can get my repeats (some are straight across)

Cutebuns, I am so sorry but I am confused already. I don' understand about finding a place to cut it. I understand about leaving about 2" extra but how do I cut it. My rulers are not long enough. I am going to have to look at my fabric b/c I don't know if I have a repeat in the WOF or not. I'm so sorry I get lost easily.
Ok I looked back at the photo I have posted. I have a staggered repeat in the WOF also. Now what do I do b/c I wanted to make a nice size quilt, not just a wall hanging?

can you show me the fabric? and then I can draw lines etc for you, and if you don't have a long enough ruler for this there are other things like a yard stick or anything that has a long enough straight edge for it,
make sure you get a fair piece of the fabric if you can as well as the edge,
