staggering your repeats like that will give you more variations in the hexagons, right?

no it won't it just means that you don't need as much fabric if you are making a wall hanging. to get the most variation, you need to have at least two wide and two lengthwise

Do you mean I need to have at least two repeats WOF and lengthwise? I have this. Is the other person right that it will just give me more variation. I have 3 yards of this so I dont think I will have to cut out the repeatns just the lengthwise.

So sorry for my confusion.

I will have to count the repeats in the length when I get home. But I think I can get at least 6 WOF pieces.

the more that you can get lengthwise the better, with the perspective I have, (not sure just where the edge looks like,) I have marked some repeats,

The third line is a little off at the top, but see how the first two disects the middle of the same flower? pick one particular thing to find through out your print,

OK, I'm home and I'm going into the sewing room, starch and iron my fabric again. Then I'll come take the laptop in there before I begin cutting. I'm askeered I'll mess up that pretty fabric, but it will work some sorta way, right?

It will work Sharon, before cutting if you show the edge as well with a fair amount of the print I can help draw you lines to give an idea where you could be cutting. (don't forget to cound your repeats, and if you don't have 6 lengthwise, find the width ones as well

This is what my ruler looks like, though there are different ones on the market, some will be using their regular ruler, and if there isn't an 60 degree mark on it a piece of tape and protractor can solve that.
