Tired of quilting?

I think I am in the "quilting funk" as well and being new at it, trying to be perfect without knowing what I am doing. I had been working on a BOM for 1 1/2 yrs. when the 11th-- 9 1/2" finished block had 50 pieces in it! It is just sitting there waiting for me to "quilt on" but I am 'rebelling"! I just can't seem to get back to it. In the mean time, I have been doing embroidery at night when "the house" has settled down and everything is quiet.
To the dear lady who started this thread, giving and selling everything is a drastic measure unless you have though about and weighed all the pros and cons. You have a lovely 301 and they don't come by everyday...
I hope you will take a break and rest for a while and just close the door to the sewing room and clear your mind...

Don't lose hope....and certainly not get rid of all your precious things. We sometimes feel like quitting but eventually take it up again. We can get in a funk sometimes and must find something else to grab our attention when we're in this mood. Eventually we do get back to quilting; I know I do.

There are ebbs and flows in every aspect of our lives. Give in to the "funk" and take a break. Do not stress about "trying to get them all done". Remember, this is supposed to be fun and if you are not having fun, let it go, for now. You need a variety of experiences to refill your inspiration bank. If after a while, you realize that you do not miss it, move on. Life is way too short to feel burdened by a hobby.

The weather is great right now but later on when it is too hot to be outside is when I really enjoying being behind my sewing machine. We know how miserable our summers are here!
