I am a new quilter, and was feeling badly because some of my corners did not line up. My darling daughter in law told me that her "quilts are not perfect either, but the love that goes into making them - IS" My son is responsible for the statement...

If you cant see the mistake three feet away from the quilt it does not count! lol
I cant say I have achieved that yet but as a new quilter I am be happy when I can apply this rule!

I quilt for the enjoyment and sense of creativity it brings to my life I hope I continue enjoying it until the very end.

I am teaching my DGD how to sew. She was sewing away and then just quit. I asked her why she quit and she told me that she can't sew "perfect" like I do. I immediately showed her all the mistakes in the quilts that I have made. I then introduced her to the seam ripper, told her that when sewing it is my best friend. She is back sewing happily even with mistakes.
