I just packed up my sewing room... 8 containers of material. (I've only been quilting for 6 years) My husband keeps saying he is going to get me therapy for my "hoarding" but I keep saying I'm not a hoarder I'm a quilter there is a difference!

I thought I had large stash but it doesn't compare to some of you. I have quit buying as much fabric but sometimes it talks to me and says "please take me home" and I usually do.

I just found a bunch more fabric in my garage today. I am so thankful my husband's hobby costs more than mine, but I am thinking I am closing in on him.

I am 37, so I am hoping I have many more years of quilting ahead of me. I also hate having to run to the store when I start a new project. I rarely buy fabric with a project in mind when I go, so I like to have lots. I also like being able to send fabric to someone who needs something I have.

I am still looking for the lady who needed green poinsetta fabric. :-P

I am stocking up for when I retire. I won't have the money to buy as much fabric so I'll have a stash to pull from.

Me too. I share with friends. Most of my fabric comes from thrift stores or on sale. I can't resist $1 a yard!
