    Default Top stitching thread question...

What brand do you like best? I am using it on Denmark weight fabric. I have tried Perle cotton 8 and it's not bad...and I had it in the rack...but I'm sure there's better stuff out there.

I have only used Pearl cotton for buttonhole applique. I use Mettler Silk finish thread for all of my quilting.

Is this for a quilt? Or clothing? I don't know what Denmark weight fabric is.

Are you top stitching something decorative? Or is this a quilting question? For decorative top stitching I love Perle Cotton. I use different weights depending on the project, often #8 & #12, sometimes I want heavier & go with #3 or #5. For quilting I generally use 40- 60 weight Threads.

I like Connecting Threads. They are very reasonable on their pricing and there are a LOT of colors.
