Progress Report!!!!! Thanks so much for all the suggestions. I really appreciate all of you taking time out to help me. I want to report that I have made a breakthrough...After reading all of your replies and several other threads with similar problems, I solved my problem by lowering my hopping foot. I followed Leah Day's tut on how to bend the needle bar back and wrap a rubber band around the top to lower the foot. Some others suggested that the foot have a dimes distance to the plate and it worked!!!!!!!!!! I have a couple of long stitches here and there, but was able to finish the quilting with NO thread problems! YIPPEE!

Something I did was to forget to put the presser foot down. What a mess. Of course when I figured it out, my stitches were much better and my thread stopped breaking.
