I do it both ways.....IF I have something that will help I reply immediately.....but often I am curious about the same issue\ so I read first.

Well, I don't have the time to read page after page after page of conversation. If I find a topic interesting and read the first and second pages, I will leave a comment or question. Some of these topics are 10-12 pages long by the time I get to read them. Sorry if this angers anyone. JMHO. If everyone agrees that this is just wrong (to drop into a conversation with out knowing where it's been or where it's going) I will just quit posting comments or asking questions.

That's right I don't see any big deal on multiple postings everybody's opinion and comment is worthy. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Sometimes a topic interests me but if I see 10 pages of replies when I open it, I figure it's all been said already and the O/P probably isn't even reading anymore. I move on...

I always try to read the entire thread where I am going to post. Sewbiz...I read every post and every page of any thread that I started. Each comment is important to me...so please don't assume that the O/P quit reading their own topic.

Its always nice to see that people will share information that relates to the topic..so I learn a lot from all the comments.

If it is just admiration, I sometimes just add my comments without reading. I figure that if someone posts a picture, 20 "I think it's beautiful" are all appreciated!
Ditto, well said.
