Everyone's prayers and thoughts are greatly appreciated. My niece is doing well with recovery--it is just a long road to get back to where she was before this last chemo. We are most thankful for her progress.

I'll put the batting and backings on when I get back home.
This has been a trip down memory lane, for when I was a young bride all my sewing was done on our small kitchen/dining table in our mobile home (about the size of today's RV's!) And my supplies all fit into a sewing kit about the size of the box my FW fits in. I was making garments then for my growing family.

I really like how you made your sewing space so compact. I have a travel iron and my June Taylor Cut & Press that I take along with my featherweight machine to my daughter's home. Since I do some mending and putting on Cub Scout badges on my grandson's uniform, I also take along a container of bobbins that I got at a garage sale. The bobbins have a lot of different colors of thread in them that I can use to either hand sew or for the top thread on my machine. They have come in very handy at times when you need just a little bit of thread. The badges are all different colors, so it does come in handy.
What is the folding board behind your machine that has all of your notions on it? It really looks handy to have at your finger tips.
I also have one of those old metal typing tables at home that is very useful. With the two fold down leaves, there is storage on the right side of the machine for notions, etc.

Very nice little space. When the three kids were home I would sew for a few hours after hauling everything out to the kitchen, then haul it all back to store on my tiny closet. After buying stuff we think we need or want, I couldn't get any sewing stuff in my closet. Cutting out things at home would make it all so much easier.
