I will keep my fingers crossed that you can have it fixed, unless you want a new machine. Just a bought a new one, a Janome 3160 which is a small machine to take to classes and I love it so much, if it had a bigger throat, I would easily sell the other 2 machines and keep this one. Good luck, I hope flowers won't be necessary!

I am so sorry about your accident. I was afraid you were going to say that you had fallen and not the machine. It sure would be nice if it could be traded as a down payment on a new machine. Good Luck.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Until you take it to a repairman I wouldn't totally freak out yet~anything is possible. You can find some great vinatage machines for under $50 bucks. If we were closer I would just give you one of mine. Good Luck and keep us posted!!

I agree - most repair people have spare machines in the back room to use for parts. A Brother or quilt store might do a trade-in.

If you have enough for an embroidery machine, buy it. It also will do any piecing you want to do.

Please let us all know when the service will be. I think it should have a mini quilt laid on it for its final 'dirt nap'
Believe us when we say....."We feel your pain"

Oh, sweetie do I feel your pain. This exact thing happened to me about 20 years ago. I watched my blessed sewing machine fly across the family room as a tripped over the cord. I loved the machine and would probably still be using it. Alas it is Resting in Peace now, but the memory lives on. Yes, I feel your pain.
