When I bought my 301 the tensioner was absolutely DEAD!! I had to replace it with a new one. Now she sews like a queen!! :-)

I am glad that your got your machine fixed. When I purchased mine off of ebay, I took her straight to my sewing machine repair shop. She also had the wrong belt, so she was serviced, new belt and feet and Ian says she has a good stitch. I am looking forward to trying her this weekend.
