I like them both. The blue batiks can represent deep water. Colors get either very dark or very bright in deep water. Just my thoughts.

I like the second one best, as I think it looks more like water, also. The first one looks more like whitewater waves, like deep water. Both are really beautiful! Nice work!

I like the coloring in the 2nd better. Just a warning - your snail's trail design is fairly difficult to sew accurately. You may want to paper piece the blocks.

Love your pattern. I like both of them but the second one really catches my eye.

Someone had come up with the idea to name it "Tsunami" (I forget who though) because the ends of the half Snail's Trail almost looked like tsunami waves.

I'm digging the turquoise more myself.

I didn't have any trouble the first time I tried making it. Really the quilt is just Snail's Trail and Pinwheel blocks.

It was Celeste who suggested that name, a little over three years ago.

I went back and searched through all my old topics because I was curious who came up with the name....before I came back on this thread and saw you had the answer on here. lol. Leave it to me to do things the hard way. But I also found who named my Ninja Star quilt as well (Quilting Aggi). Its amazing what you find when looking at posts from three years ago.
