Martha Pullen has a show too, lots of heirloom, but also quilting too.

I watch all of these on my local PBS channels.
In the past, our PBS station has carried all of the shows mentioned here and in earlier posts, but now they have ALL been removed.[[[[[[[[[[[[booo]]]]]]]]]]]]] Sue Hausmann was the last one I saw. I suppose we quilters haven't supported them [[[[$$$$$]]]] enough. My favorites were Nancy (when I was doing garment sewing), Simply Quilts, Georgia B., Fons & Porter {don't you just love their commercial where they cut a hole out of DH's shirt to use the fabric in a quilt}, Martha Pullen (heirloom sewing). Kaye W -- love that 6-hr. quilt!, and of course Quilt in a Day. SQ was my favorite because of all the great guests.

BINGO! YES!!!! That's her! When her show comes on. the tv goes off!
oh, no! if you're having a "who's the most irritating" contest, i vote for martha pullen. when she smiles it looks like she's inviting you to count her teeth.

i only get everything 1x each week, but i don't get georgia bonesteel at all. wish i did.
You must not have ever met Martha Pullen in person. She's a doll and true blue. I've attended 2 of her sewing markets in Arlington, Tx and two of her sewing schools in Huntsville, Ala.
In Ala. we were invited TO HER HOME for a barbeque. It was Southern Hospitality in true form. She's a very genuine person.

Thank you for info on zeeltv.com which has given me other links - it is a remarkable site and pleased to see it after Simply Quilts' demise in Oz - I get up with the birds so much time will be spent watching dvds whilst waiting for daylight to dawn. I have a few more sites to check out now!! :)

we use to get all these sewing channels on Saturdays channel 24 must have been PBS. Now I can't find any of them. I miss them. I do get Simply quilts on the internet HGTV. But I paid 49.00 for the year Its probably worth it though.

Southwest Michigan: I just switched from Dish to DirectTV and so far have found Quilt in a Day Thursday 2:30 on channel 35 (PBS). I received Fons & Porter Thursday 2:00 on channel 35 with Dish. Kaye's Quilting Friends evidently was canceled in our area.

When I first started quilting the only quilting program on TV was Simply Quilts on either PBS or HGTV and that was one of the things that got me really interested in quilting. However, that was cancelled quite some time ago. Since then I have wondered if the network powers that be and TV programers have forgotten that there are quilters in the Detroit metro area or if they think we live on another planet.

i don't think it's really the stations. i think it's the sponsors. even though it's public t.v., someone shells out something. donations cover only a part of the broadcasting costs. if coats and clark or fiskars doesn't think there's an audience, they won't pay for a show.
