Pandora for the mix to suit the mood . Christian hymns, 80's love songs, Motown, country, Christian pop, Beatles, jazz, acoustic guitar, Broadway show tunes. Sometimes talk radio . Sometimes nothing in the background since I like to open the windows and hear the chatter of humans and critters outside.

Check your library - they sell their books, CD's, DVD's and audio books. I get mine for 50 cents, well worth it because they are mine and I can loan them to anyone or give them to anyone. I am listening to Mary Higgins Clark's books now. And then I will start on some Civil War battle books. My husband and I visited Gettysburg once and I just became enthralled with the history of the Civil War. Minnesota played a very important role in the ending of the war. And every one of the soldiers were volunteers. You learn a lot while you are sewing with two hands and listening with two ears. Enjoy., Edie

I quilt in silence. If the weather is warm and the windows are open I like to hear the birds. Of course, living in New Hampshire the warm weather is only around so long. I have listed to my CDs when I quilt at times, but I find myself getting so absorbed into the quilting, that I don't hear the music at all! Then I wonder, what happened to that song I really like, did it already go by?

Welcome to the greatest quilting group on the planet. Right now I'm listening to the soundtrack of Les Miserables, shoot I'm ready to join the revolution. Other than that it is a range from old rock to country. There are a ton of free patterns out there for charm packs and Moda is a great place to start. Also take a look at www.sew4home.com as they have a ton of projects that use charm packs. Missouri Star Quilt is hard to beat for using pre-cuts. Good luck with whatever you choose and most of all, enjoy the sewing.

Hi, this question made me feel old !!, I used to play L P's now I listen to radio 4 extra here in the U.k It has all the old comedy programes and lot of plays.I can't watch t.v or Videos, too distracting ,I would probably slice more tham my fabric or sew through a finger, Love Letty
First a get to know y'all type. Since I'm new here and still lurking in the background. What is your quilting background noise? Music iPod talk radio etc?
Mine is the walking dead. I have all three seasons on DVD so I pop them in randomly because I know them all by heart and can listen but not pay attention. I tried sons of anarchy but I got too caught up in the show and would stop sewing lol.
Second. I am venturing into the better quality fabrics and just bought a ton of different charm packs. One I snagged the last three of is the princess pack by adornit. It's a will be birthday quilt for my will be two year old. I would love to do a star quilt since I have kona solids on hand that match it. However google hasn't helped me in finding a pattern or way to make the stars using charm packs. Can anyone point me in the right direction or does anyone have another idea? I want to highlight the charm pack fabrics and I'm drawing a blank.
Hope y'all had a great weekend. I'm waiting for bedtime for my Lulu (my 15 mth old daughter) so I can bind my weekend warrior quilt
I can't wait to post pics for y'all to see
