Default UCLA Fleece Quilt

Has anyone made a quilt from College fleece fabric? If so, how did you do it?

My son is graduating from UCLA and I want to make him a throw size quilt using the UCLA fleece fabric. I have scoured the net and found numerous tutorials on how to make a no-sew fleece throw. These are fun throws but I want to make a very special quilt since he's getting a graduate degree in TV Production.

Any ideas would be very welcome.

Thanks a bunch,

Sande

I have the UCLA Fleece fabric. I bought it last year with hopes of incorporating it into a quilt for Ben.

How about using the fleece for the back of the quilt and doing a pattern with UCLA colors for the front?

I made several Bears t-shirt quilts backed with Bears fleece. maybe see if you can find or steal out of his closet to use on the front.

If you crochet, then crochet-lined fleece blankets look really nice and are a step up from just fleece, assuming you don't have a quilt idea instead.

Thanks for the video links for no sew blankets. I'll watch them but I was hoping to stay away from that look. That's great that you almost attended UCLA!

I was going to suggest the same as Cari. There are so many fabrics you can use for the front and then have the coziness of the fleece for the back and you may not need batting then.
