So sorry zig56gie you feel that way. I lived in Phoenix for over 10 years in two different periods, and although I've been gone from there for over 45 years, I still love it, and I do love the weather, too. I first moved there in 1952.

I love your idea of storing them this way, I may need to re-valuate my storage use. I am using totes, but they are the 13 gal, and colored so yo can't see in them, but I do have them marked "quilting" or "fabric".

A phone call like that in my household would certainly dissolve a marriage if I would have said 'yes', as I already have many a tote filled with fabric. I don't drive and he certainly wouldn't have driven across town to pick it up, let alone a 7hr one way trip. I salute you for an understanding hubby. I sorted only through my last few years purchases and my DH was in disbelief, although he saw them 'stacked' in the spare bedroom and didn't realize how much it really was after sorting. I admit to being a Fabriholic, but it's bought and paid for. Congrats on your inheritance.
